Never had it for that reason, but it makes sense. It's not hard to do. About 15min of actual work.

Seeing the new ones is integral (and I like them, they are much better than the prequels, IMO), plus having knowledge of Star Trek TNG to put those pieces together. I could spoil it for you if you'd like, but if you have Disney+ you can watch some of them to catch up a bit.
