It was pretty obvious that it wasn't the lot of us moving in to neighbors, so when some of them stopped by in hopes of meeting whoever was actually moving in, we replied "Oh, it's none of us, you'll get to meet him once he's out on parole."
To be extra cruel, we probably should have asked them to confirm the distance to the nearby elementary school.
Though maybe their initial worry came about when they saw us moving his drum kit in.

I like that my neighbors have a drum kit. Makes me feel not too bad about running the angle grinder til 9pm at night.
One of his friends is pretty good with a bass, too, in the summer they play outside.
