I caught some flak for posting this one a few years ago. Thanks, it's still funny.

I can't imagine enough tolls to make me think that was worth it. Maybe ferry space and no more spots available?

Torched wheel bearing is my guess.
In reply to fasted58 :
There's no plate on it, it's may be getting delivered to a dealer. They may have dropped a larger trailer first on the same trip.

The first time I went to Mass/VA area, I towed a small trailer and went through PA. The one way trip cost me $20 in fuel and $40 in tolls.
The second time, I cut south in Ohio first to minimize my exposure to the PA turnpike and paid myself $40.

Isn't the expensive part shipping from Europe?
NB: I have one other person in my rallycross class. He is a phemonenal driver, used to run various 2.5RSs and STIs and Evos, decided RWD was where it's at, so bought an MR2 Spyder and a hardtop, because that is probably the best RWD chassis available in the US.

I got that rude awakening taking I-80 hauling a car to Carlisle from Illinois.
Holy crap was I shocked when I opened my ipass account.

Most expensive toll road in the country, one of the most expensive in the world, and owned by a private company with a state contract to raise tolls every year for the next 20 something years. Gotta love PA.
Edit, I was wrong 2 freaking years ago, so two toll increases ago, we took the title for most expensive toll road in the world. Worth it just to get out of this backwards ass E36 M3hole, but still.

Even ones in the US trade hands for $4k

It to mention the fact that they've spent the last 40-50 years teaching us that 'no' means 'no'.
