In reply to Duke :
There is delicious vegan food out there that is cheap, nutritionally complete, and easy to prepare.
Why people insist on making it taste like something that is not vegan is beyond me.
In reply to mtn :
Because they want to convert others, or they're stupid enough to think ultra processed vegan food is somehow healthy just because it's vegan. My guesses anyway.

You have all slow cars, it's cool.

I don't know that I'd call a 250whp Miata slow. It's pretty damn jaunty. Way more fun than when it was 92whp

I've been accelerating hard yet a little sideways from tirespin at triple digit speeds. ("I" meaning "warm body sitting in the passenger seat looking at laptop data to keep myself sane") The customer was unhappy when he got the car back because it wasn't fast enough. (He was out of fuel injector at only 23psi boost)
On the plus side, he switched to E85 and picked up another 100 or so horsepower and got into the 8s, so there's that :)
Two of these cars account for about 2100hp. One of them is a twin turbo 421ci LS1 in the F-body in the back. That's another car that was "reboot your brain" nuts. Low tens at well over 150 in a full interior, all power/convenience accessories intact, roll caged, emissions legal car. Tubular arms and subframe, coilovers all around, 6-piston Baer brakes. Utter craziness.
More sanely, I knew someone who was force feeding 42psi into a 1.8 and decided to swap in a built LS2 because he got tired of replacing the head gasket. Granted, he did learn some interesting things along the way, like D585 ignition coils are insufficient over 29psi and you have to switch to IGN-1As.... the LS2 made, IIRC, something like 500 at the wheels. In an NB on 225/45 gumballs. I drove it exactly one half block, then parked it Very very good throttle response on that mill, way better than 6 liters should have. I thought I had pics, must have lost them. Definitely not a drag car, he autocrossed it.
edit:
Nothin' wrong with driving a slow car fast. It gives you time to think and plan instead of react poorly. besides, there's always someone faster. The guy running 7s is pissed that he isn't running 6.8s. The guy running 6.8s is unsatisfied because the doorslammer record is 6.6. The guy holding the record is trying to get more speed before the other two guys catch up
Equipment geek note: I have no idea if Joni Mitchell played a Parker Fly, but she is in this picture. Seems like a rockin axe for a folkie with jazz overtones.
