Ground: “Speedbird, do you not know where you are going?”

Ground (with quite arrogant impatience): “Speedbird 206, have you not been to Frankfurt before?”

Not a meme but a funny story.
Canada wanted to make a big fuss for the 60th (I think) anniversary of VE Day. They sent my grandfather who was an RCAF veteran, an invitation but he had to pay for his airfare and accomodation. (A complete load of garbage if you ask me, the government should have paid for them to go).
Grandpa was telling me about it and I said "Didn't they send you for free the last time?" half-jokingly.
He said "No, they paid me!"
