When I bought my Cummins, it came straight piped from the previous owner. My mechanic said it had to have something to pass inspection. So I bought a cheap MBRP inline muffler. You know- the type that is actually a resonator you can look straight through. Passed inspection but I'm sure it provided zero noise reduction. That truck was loud AF.
