Check out the label on a pack of disposable razors.
Every year we get a nostart that is because someone installed a battery and didn't remove the protective covers from the terminals. This is at every place I have ever worked.
In the twelve years I've worked as a mechanic I've never seen that one, somehow. Nor the sparkplug as an oil drain plug either.
My favorite sticker I've seen was one on a distributor, sealing the cap to the body, that said "Warranty voided if removed". And just how are you supposed to install a distributor properly if you don't remove the cap?
Had a woman come in screaming at me that her battery was dead again and how the hell could we fail to install a battery and alternator so many times?!?
The idiot tech hadn't inspected the parts he put on, one of which was a battery terminal. The parts supplier thought it was a good idea to paint the entire surface and not mask off the inner portion where the battery made contact.

The other version of the spark plug as drain plug was a inner cap nut as a drain plug on a Cat C15. Aluminum pan and they had a propensity for the threads coming out with the plug and that was someone's fix. Overnight a pan and gasket.

Oh. I do not like being screamed at. I missed the point of the story because I was thinking about how much I would have not handled that well.
In reply to P3PPY :
I only came close to screaming at a dealership tech once, when I had ordered a tire, was assured by the tech over the phone that he had it and was going to pull it aside for me, then when I get there a couple hours later find out he didn't have any and hadn't bothered to either call me and let me know, or tried to find one for me. He was a worthless POS.
I was talking to a tech I knew who worked at said dealership later, and he knew who the guy was, and said yeah, he's about as worthless as they come, which is why he's behind the desk and not in the shop.

In the 70s we did not need no stinking roll bars.
Just plenty of acid and malaise.

That looks like the pod they used in the Running Man movie.
I was thinking a rally cross cart without wheels.

This says more about vehicle choice than it does about child rearing. That second picture isn't that far off from the '75 picture. I guarantee that the Dad in '75 would have done something similar, maybe with more duct tape, had he not been able to put the kids outside of the cab. You think the bubble wrap is for protection? Oh hell no, it's to force those damn kids to keep their hands to themselves!

Had another guy once upon a time. Called up the store HOT cause another store wouldn't honor his tire warranty. (This was Pepboys)
Told him if he could calm down and stop cussing I'd be able to help him. He couldnt/wouldn't. "Sir, if you keep cussing at me, I'm gonna have to hang up." And eventually I had to hang up. He called again even hotter and I hung up again.
Told the shop guys to be on the lookout and be near the front of the store.
Guy roared in and was out of his car before it stopped moving. Came in the store quite literally hopping mad. Just vibrating with rage. I talked him down, eventually got him calm, then called the store he got his tires at and confirmed his warranty. Set him up with an appointment the next day and got him taken care of.
Guy I hadn't even realized was in the waiting room for the whole thing start to finish got up and congratulated me.
A car is usually the first or second most expensive purchase a person has. I get it. No one wants to think they are getting screwed
