Would it though? That should put out 95+% pure, unless you only collect heads then refine the methanol in that somehow?
I don't know I'm still deep in the research phase of building one.
I do know. I do this for a living.
We don't use a fancy vodka still, but ours is larger and nicer than the one pictured and includes features like a dephlegmator. Starting with a ~10% wash, I'd probably get 30-40%, 60-70%, and max out in the low 80%'s. It's theoretically possible to get 95%+, but it's also theoretically possible to cross a mud soaked field in an open diff car with bald tires.

At first glance, I thought those were full 750 mL bottles. I mean, I could do that, it is the season of pointless stress and anxiety.
And one more, appropriate to Duke's meme.
Mrs VCH is at the USPS this morning. Line out the door.
This is only meme because of how irritated some people from Ohio get over the fact the Wright brothers went to NC because the terrain and winds were good there.
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Agent of Chaos) :
I mean they really didn't need to use terrain and winds as an excuse did they?
The Wright Brothers needed the wind to help it take off. They needed some speed to create updraft on the wings. And the sand helped with rough landings. This is the Glider they first built and flew there.
In reply to MyMiatas :
Right. They needed the wind. So their claim of "First in Flight" comes with a bit of an asterisk. They basically built a fancy glider with a noisy, dangerous air mixer attached to it.

Per capita, more astronauts come from Ohio vs anywhere else in the United States, just something about the state that makes you want to leave this planet.
In reply to volvoclearinghouse :
No more so than any others claiming first. Their genius lay within control. They devised means of controlling yaw, pitch, and roll long before they added power. When the went to Europe in 1908, they were so far ahead of Voison, Farman, etc, that it was next to impossible to refute their claims.

Or they wanted to GTFO of Ohio like most normal people.
