Beauty is subjective. I think wedge shaped cars like the Stratos, GT-40, and 288 GTO are beautiful. I don't like cars with tapered rears like the air-cooled 911 and E-Type.

Maybe try driving a car that's fast enough that you can see more of a 911 than its rear?

Pretty sure even my minivan would blow an air-cooled 911's doors off, drag race or corners. Sounds like something that would make an entertaining article for a magazine, no?

I'm with Adrian on this one, folks.  I may not agree that it's technically  quote beautiful unquote, but it is DAMN hot.

I like 911s and the later cocksters, but the 959 always looked like you cut a hole in th middle of a race car and stuck a 911 in he middle. Like a hole-in-one egg sandwich.

I don't even like Porsches, and I think the 911 is a bland jellybean of a car, and I like the 959. I think the F40 is absolutely hideous.

The F40 was the swan song of an old man. Now the 288 GTO is sexier than anything mentioned here.

For the Mitsu, it probably also stood for that.  Japanese automakers are funny about using loanwords, or nonwords that sound like loanwords, for their cars.
