90s Wendy's just hit different. If they really wanted to turn things around, they could release nostalgia everything (store layout, recipes, fully fried in delicious trans fats, etc.) and I bet it would sell like hotcakes:

Sometime in the late 80s/early 90s Wendy's took chicken nuggets off the menu so my family stopped going for a while. I can't find any record of this, but do remember going in a couple of times and being told there weren't any. I don't think my parents lied because they didn't want to go since they had no problem taking us to McDonald's.
