Once an entire generation is gone, history really takes a jump. In my lifetime, we went from WWII vets being dominant forces in society to them being, at this point, nearly extinct.

There's also the side effect of facts finally coming out after people involved in said historical events finally die, or lift moratoriums, or declassify information. Can really change everything, except the people that "lived it" just refuse to believe it didn't happen the way they were told.

Whether we're being told by the people who lived it, or told by the people in charge of the information, we're still being told.

I'm glad you asked, because, you see, all vertebrates have the same number of vertebrae, so the answer is the arms would be in the middle.

More specifically, while still supporting your point, mammalian cervical vertebrae numbers are very consistent, exceptions being manatees and a couple of different species of sloths.

Snakes are vertebrates, and have a whole lot more vertebrae than us mammals.
