I expect that.
I am a Construction Manager. I am by far a much better hammer swinger than most carpenters on my job. In fact, I delegate the most complicated parts to myself.
My company has 32 people in the same role as me. Most of them are also exceptionally good tradesmen. That's an expectation of the company.
It is also an expectation of the company that all Project Managers can sell and land jobs.
Every company is different.
