It most certainly is, except when you need to use it as an actual car. The MR2 at least had two trunks, the MR-S is frustrating for many to use in the ways that a Miata is.
The styling is also much more polarizing (I think it looks awkward AF), but that's not a fact, just an opinion.
Like so many Roadsters built to take on the Miata, it was probably one of the closest due to its dynamic capabilities, but falls short in other equally critical areas.
