Oh, and my uncle and one of my closest friends are philosophy professors (EDIT: actually, my friend's a history prof, but his own studies focused on philosophy). So there's at least one job there if you're good enough at it (and in the right place at the right time). They also don't think people without degrees are stupid. Maybe they're just better at philisophizing than Jim. They're certainly more realistic examples of philosophy students, having existed and stuff.
Apologies as appropriate for the literal take; I'm feeling short of fuse on divisive rhetoric lately.
Agreed. I'm one of those "Blue collar" workers that people fantasize about, and I'm still making less than $20 an hour after 8 years while my best friend's BSN in computer science and Series 7 has landed him in the six figures. I can only buy property and get my next degree to get OUT of it thanks to my mother helping me, and she isn't the only boomer doing that for their kids. Those "memes" just reek to me of someone bitter about their life choices or problems out of their control.

I had to read that 4 times before my brain would process it.
Before those red blue maps drive you crazy, have this one.
Maybe you too can own a kangaroo.

Amazing that simply by cropping the ears, this country could be a better place.

You get a kangaroo, and you get a kangaroo!!!
I have one from a Facebook group I really wanted to share but it's not family friendly. Exercising restraint can be so hard sometimes.
In reply to Wally (Forum Supporter) :
I'm in a group like that, and while I can steal from here to post there, some of the ones on there would definitely be frowned upon over here.
You just need to create the "unofficial and offensive meme thread" Facebook group to share the ones you can't put on here with people that agree not to get offended
In reply to No Time :
I belong to a group of young widows and they have a meme day every few weeks where there are usually one or two that make me cringe.
Maybe this ones safe enough for here, apparently my last one was too political
In reply to Wally (Forum Supporter) :
I can see where the boundaries for acceptable content may be unique to that group.
Mine is just adults acting like adolescents:
