I have Tim Taylor Syndrome.  If propane is good, acetlyene must be better.

(I have heard that shooting garbage bags full of acetylene from 50 yards is a really bad idea, because static electricity from the bag might set off the acetylene while you are filling it.  So don't try that)

I recall a local news story from Gainesville, Florida about 25 years ago.

Four guys filled balloons with welding gas, then they all climbed into a car with them, headed for a birthday party.

When the inevitable explosion occurred, it blew out all the glass in the car, and all of their eardrums. Other than that and lots of little lacerations, they weren't too badly hurt.
