I am neither a member of staff nor the originator of this thread, so I claim no say on what should or shouldn't be posted.  But if the rule is 'no politics' then it should be no politics, not 'whatever politics you can get away with or that suit the most vocal posters'.

Ah! Yeah, I see how you could make that assumption, but that wasn't my intent. Still, if those who pay the bills don't like it, down it comes.

Otherwise, I totally agree. There are plenty of places to get one's political opinions validated, and this is expressly and specifically not one of them. The trend of individuals only following the rules that suit them is tedious.

An excellent example of marketing to control the narrative. A horse has 15 peak horsepower, but power over time on a horse is pretty close to 1 Horsepower. The engine marketing guys back in the day focused on the power over time versus peak.

Split the difference:  set Standard Time ahead 30 minutes and never ever do this again.

I'm considering changing my company hours from 8-4 to 7-3. 

If the rest of the world decided not to play their stupid game that would be the end of it.
