I always figured dculberson was more tech savvy than that...
(Saw his avatar a lot before ever seeing the IT Crowd and thought it was just him. I'll see myself out and drop by with a meme when I'm not on my phone.)
I discovered a trove of historical memes, the Danish and US Navies growing trees for ship building and maintenance is just one.

We were driving the other day and a 3-series with a crackle-and-pop tune did it's thing. My wife immediately said "That doesn't sound good..."
I hate it, and it feels a half-step better than playing crackle.mp3 through a speaker. But the origins in awesome go-fast stuff means the sounds still trigger associations with something rad.
I once got lazy and had a bad PCV valve on the Mustang. Pulled it and just shoved the tube into the grommet.
Snap crackle pop all day long. Was fun for a little while.

I had a white Altima with a banged up right fender and crunched left rear bumper cut across two lanes to hose everyone that waited their turn to make a freeway exchange this morning. Rather than getting mad, I just remembered the discussions on this board and chuckled. Besides, karma was obviously at work since someone had stolen the huge Raider Nation sticker off the rear window...I mean, there's no way it didn't previously have one; right?
