I'm laughing at $10 in 1999. I'm sure I was paying more than $15+ in 1989 for CD's

Shhhh. They clearly don't want anyone to know.
I'm conflicted about wanting to buy one just to reward that Erik for his persistence in trying to acheive his dream...

I had one. 1998 c2? It was blue with the 1200, had an intake and full exhaust, and the PO said cams but idk. It would hit 145 at 7400 in 5th, and would have gone faster with more gearing. Spun a cam bearing on my way to work one day, probably saved my life honestly. I was way too comfortable on it. Traded it away for a grand Cherokee that needed a water pump.

That was my first thought as well :)

Interesting. HOw old are you? I'm 53 and use Spotify daily, and try and avoid iTunes like the plage having used it when it was actually easy and worthwhile 15-20 years ago.
In reply to ProDarwin :
I tried i-Tunes when it came out and didn't really like it. I've tried several other streaming services and didn't like them either. I'll just keep buying it.

I'm 38

Nor I.
I either do direct download from the artists's website, or grab from YouTube. Or go to the used CD store.
I'm 50 and dislike Spotify and iTunes equally. If streaming I listen to Pandora, if not it's old fashioned terrestrial radio for me.
meme unrelated

I buy CDs from the artists when possible or a music store when not, then rip them to my iTunes library. That way I've got a hard copy that will work no matter what (yes, I know about CD lifespan). When my grandfather died, I could still listen to his records and I've never forgotten that.
If there's no CD, I buy a non-DRM format and add it to my iTunes library. I did my time with Napster but generally it was more annoying than useful. I use iTunes for library management, that's it.
I'll listen to Pandora occasionally because of the way the algorithm works, but usually I listen to something I choose. I don't use Spotify or any of the other streaming services because I know what's in my library and I don't know what's in theirs this week. When I'm cycling/running, I'm listening via a 2nd gen iPod Shuffle loaded with music I like. Usually I'm in an area that doesn't have cell service so streaming isn't useful anyhow. Charge the battery every week or two and it's good. My earbuds have wires and never need charging :)
This would have been wildly advanced 20 years ago, state of the art 15 years ago and it works well for me. Last time I bought music was about 4 hours ago.
