Consider this the hatchback Mustang II of our time.So in 10 years it's going to be widely regarded as an embarrassment thats best function is being cannibalized to make hotrods?
So you admit past Mustangs have deviated wildly from the myth of the all-American, everyman performance car and that this dillution of the brand and treachery to the heritage are absolutely nothing new and par for the course?
My new summation is as follows: Everybody complaining about how the Mustang Mach-E is an insult to the car's heritage must have forgotten about or not been alive when they stuck the Mustang badge on a 4 cylinder hatchback Pinto.Ummm, if by "deviated wildly" you mean "made a horrid mistake that took more than a decade to recover from", then yes, I admit it.
The Pinto-stan was like two feet shorter and 500 pounds lighter than the outgoing car! They added lightness in response to market demand!

Ah, so what you're saying is America decided that Colin Chapman was wrong. Adding lightness isn't the way to go.
P.S. Look at Mustang Sales figures. When the Mustang II launched in 74 production tripled from the year before and stayed strong through out it's production run. 1974 sales were 386K, a number never bettered since. Best year for the Fox was the fist year at 367K. In fact 1974 was the 4th best sales year for the nameplate ever.

I have been looking at the figures. The Mustang didn't need to "recover" for 10 years, like Duke said, unless you're talking about the performance mystique, which was victimized equally over all marquees. In the chart below, I'd love to know how many of the base models sold versus the higher performanc models per year, too.
People buy Mustangs... period. Calling the EV a Mustang was the smartest thing Ford could've done for it.
Or, to look at it another way:
The Mustang has grown steadily less popular over time.
Probably because they started killing people.

Where does the Nexen N Fera SUR4G fall? (Warning: I absolutely loved those tires and wish they came in a 245/40R15)
Half step off the Stones and BFG and Yokos is the general consensus I believe
Not a bad tire by any means.

I showed this to Lil Stampie and he agreed totally. Today we were getting the Q45 ready to leave so I reversed roles. I made sure to bring him the wrong size sockets and aim the light at whatever I found interesting instead of what he was working on.

disclaimer: I still have some Pantera CDs, although I'm not into them anymore because people change.
