What's funny is that on October 9th 1903, the New York Times predicted that it would be 1 million to 10 million years before humans invented a machine capable of flight. Just over two months later, on December 17th, 1903, the Wright Brothers made their first flight.

The way we perceive events before our time is fascinating.
The moon landing happened (or was faked lol) 14 years before I was born. But to me that 14 years seems like an eternity. Ancient history.
The 9/11 attack was 14 years before my son was born. That's how he will perceive that. He can't really comprehend that it wasn't that long ago.
Why did Trabants come standard with rear window defrosters? So your hands wouldn't get cold while pushing it.

Corridor Digital analyzed the moon landing footage and determined that to convincingly fake the footage with miniatures and sets would have been more difficult than actually just going to the moon. Like, you would need a building miles long by miles high with a light source as bright as the actual sun for some of the surface pan footage.
