It seems theres lots of GRMers from the mitten on this board. Waddya say we have us a little meet and greet? Maybe a restaurant or a park for a BBQ?? I'm just throwing ideas around, let me know what you think?

I am up for it...alot of them are leaving though...
John Brown, whaddya say, you seem to be the "supreme" Michigan GRMer, I still owe ya that baconator.
Depending on where it's at, I'm down. And if no one comes up with a good location, I volunteer my garage. Plenty of beer and broken DSM will be provided courtesy of me.
oooh, i like working on broken DSM's...I am up for it...though if anyone wants to put a buick 231 in a TR-7, my garage would work too!

No...You owe me a baconator.

I am up as well. I am pretty open on the weekends, I will have to bring the miniMofos no matter what but they are pretty decent mechanics so it should work out.
Obviously we should look for an area centrally located between those interested, I am a BIG fan of the park Joel and Jamie got married at, Pimpish can supply that info. Other than that we can abuse my back yard if you aren't afraid of getting KidRockitis from being in or near a trailer park.
Odd that it doesn't show me. It's correct in my profile, but no second pin in Ann Arbor.
BTW, Tim- you should check the challenge records- Michigan has had very good representation, even though we are a good drive away. I think third only to Florida and Georga.

To get yourself on the map:
Go to your profile and put your city and state in. Don't be funny. Google can't map "State of confusion".
That's all it needs. If Google can map you, you'll be on the map.
BUT, if someone else is in the same city, it will lay one marker on top of another and only one will be visible. If that's the problem, adding your ZIP will help it drill down more precisely. In other words, adding your ZIP is optional, but it helps show more precise results.
You can view everybody at http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/community/map/ but I'll warn you ahead of time, it takes forever to load and may crash your browser. There are just so many pins to place, it really struggles.
However, you can view a map for any state by appending the two-character postal code:
http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/community/map/OH/ http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/community/map/FL/
So some person named unixgeek is in my zipcode? I've got both city and zip in my profile. perhaps if i remove the city- I'll try that.

nope, that didn't do it. Still only one entry for A2.
It doesn't care about country (although Google's mapping tool is pretty US-centric). It wants city, state and (optional) ZIP.
You could try removing the city or state, saving, then putting it back in... that might jump-start it.
I'm up for it as long as its, west side or mid state....
make it nice day so I can have an excuse to take the bike
I had to change "Jenison" to "jenison" to make it show up.
odd....wouldn't think that it would be case sensitive
It's not. It was changing that made it wake up and get the map code for you. You could change it back now and it would still have you. Or should.
You'll need to log in to post.
