You cant walk down the hall at work with out tripping over a half dozen middle aged guitar players (just got another last week). Around here Comfortably Numb is played constantly at lunch during their get togethers.
nothing wrong with bonding over guitars.....just like there's nothing wrong with bonding over the smell of tires burning.
Nobody likes us drummers.

While we are making music confessions, I like Hagar better than Roth.

My minor confession aside from disliking the beatles a great deal-
I absolutely HATE sharing my food with my child. He makes a mess and it gets everywhere and it drives me insane. I always make him his own of whatever i'm having, no matter what it is.

Add me too. Around the late 1980's I realized I couldn't take any more Beatles songs as I have heard enough. WXRT FM Radio in Chicago used to have a Breakfast with the Beatles that quickly wore me out.
If I hear "Dust in the wind" one more time.........Add Kansas to the list.
Every city needs to have a Breakfast with the Beatles for some reason. Is anyone really getting up on sunday morning, pouring a bowl of cereal and saying "I can't wait to hear what version of Hey Jude they dust off today? Maybe it'll finally be the one where Ringo tells Yoko to quit berkeleying up everything. He should have paid someone to off her instead of John then he wouldn't be out cleaning swimming pools to pay the bills."
I an guilty of liking Kansas. I have a mental defect that occasionally makes me play and sing along with awful 70s music. First song out of the ipod this morning was this Bertie Higgins classic.
If you ever want to irritate the heck out of Beatles fans, start up a conversation about how the ex-Beatle who has done the best work since the breakup is Ringo. Drives them nuts, and its not actually untrue.

While I would argue for Paul McCartney with the Wings (Well, Band on the Run at least) I think you're right on this one.
Ugh. I detest Wings. All that fluffy crap they have done is nearly as bad as Robert Plant and the Honeydrippers. (shiver)

I'll just leave those there.
ZZTop is about the only "Classic" rock I actually enjoy. I don't consider that a minor confession, as it is not uncommon for children to hate the stuff their parents listened to (over... and over... and over...).
I threatened to mail my mother (who is phobic of insects) a box of hissing cockroaches if she ever bought my kids a noisy toy again.

add Bad Company to that list of groups I cannot take. But Boston I can still listen to.
I detested Boston. Every song sounded just like the rest, no range or invention. Gimme Kansas any day.

I concur. It's that "ahh-yhh" squeal that DLR does that drives me up a wall. Their early stuff is tolerable, but when the assless chaps came out, nope. I always thought Sammys voice fit the sound better.
Van Hagar > Van Halen
I think all Porsche 911's are ugly.
I know all AMCs are ugly.
I'm not saying that there aren't a few AMC vehicles that I wouldn't mind owning, but the only good looking part would be having me behind the wheel.![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)
I was always more of a DLR fan, but I was lucky enough to catch one the, what, maybe six, shows on the Sam and Dave tour a few years ago, before they decided that couldn't stand each other and cancelled the rest. Dave's set was first and it was fantastic, but Sammy tore the roof off the place. I never expected him to put on a better show.
I meant to unbolt the oil pressure sensor, not the water temp sensor.

I would also give it to Ringo, by four words
Thomas the Tank Engine (he narrated a huge portion of the storys, as did George Carlin and Alec Baldwin)
