My life would be completely different if the dump opened at 6 instead of 7.

I think in the store it seems so reasonable because it's "just one roll" and when does Costco ever sell just one of anything? The scale doesn't hit you until you put it next to your now puny looking plastic wrap and parchment paper rolls. They start whimpering and sliding away from the foil in the drawer but it doesn't do any good. The foil can reach them from anywhere in the house. It's the captain now.
Maybe too long for "say what?!" but it certainly fits the concept.
Mexican test track report: I have a new respect for the Rowdy Audi. Holy crap, 600hp raises a whole different set of concerns when passing on a two lane. Sixty to lose your license takes about 3 seconds. Pass *everyone* or brake to avoid overshooting the gap halfway up the line. But man what a rush.

It's been over 2 years for me- and I halfway don't count that since it was trading in The Dancer's truck for a few-years-newer model as it was going out of warranty and starting to have a few issues that would be expensive to have fixed. The last one that really counts would be the E46 convertible, which was back in March of 2020...
Mine would probably be that I've been slowly undoing all of the changes I made to the E46 when I had intended to take it to the Challenge and putting it back even closer to stock in some regards than it was when I got it (I wish I had the time- and garage space- to put the original rear end back in so the gearing was a bit better for normal driving).

Just a bit. Going to have to try to regain some objectivity while shopping this weekend.
Kei trucks have dropped way down in price, like almost in half. I did say if the prices ever came down to earth I'd start looking.
I guess I need to call my insurance company and see what they have to say

I must have missed that. What video was that in?

It's in a lot of them. Whenever he's doing the oil change and adds Lucas Oil Stabilizer (he never says the name, but that's the catchphrase on the Lucas bottle) he'll shout that out. Always makes me laugh hysterically. Like at the 1:31:42 mark in this video.
It's really hard to do at 54 but I can precisely boot a ball out of two blockhead boxer dogs minus head shots.
grubby slober on the old vans though...
In the past 24 hours, I have introduction my 15 year old daughter to the patriot act, Henry David thouros civil disobedience, niccolo macchavellis the prince, snow crash and cryptonomicon by Neil Stevenson.
Take that information as you will.
I have no room in the driveway or garage. I just bought two more vehicles this morning. Luckily, they can't be brought home yet anyway.

Okay, that is funny

That's because states are starting to revoke their registrations. If you want it as a field truck, probably not an issue.

Howie made it?
No... afraid not. We lost Howie the next day.

They're legal here, and became very popular during Covid when cars generally weren't available. New car dealers were selling them and, while the general quality and selection went up, the prices doubled.
It was kind of funny when people started talking about buying them like they'd found some sort of loophole or something. We've known for 20yrs they were an option.
My insurance company hasn't been particularly interested in discussing it with me, I guess I need to follow up on that
Minor confession: I like both mustard, and mayonnaise on my veggie sub. And I typically don't eat mayo
I have no desire to have greasy hair, a beard, BO, bad breath, or cavities.
But, dear Bob, it feels like I spend a lot of time on personal hygiene every day.
I should look better than this.
I've been dodging I.T. as my company issued Dell Latitude is years beyond its replacement schedule and they've been wanting to euthanize it.
I confess that I really felt a sense of abandonment as I handed over my trusty steed.
Oh the adventures we had....5.5 trips around the planet together in 2019 alone.
Godspeed my friend, you served me well.
I bought a 2000 Miata LS. Supposed to pick it up in the morning. The price was such that I couldn't let it go. My confession: After Fluids, Filters, Belts, and Hoses, etc. some quality time with a tooth brush and elbow grease, I'll probably post it FS on here. (To Flip) There! I said it. Unless I fall for it. Still looking for a Spec Rodanish Miata.
