I hope Downton Abbey ends with Mr Carson waking up in bed, turning to Suzanne Pleshette and telling her he dreamt he was a Vermont innkeeper.

How long have you been sitting on that one?
Today I put a hole in my AC condenser by trying to heroically catch the screwdriver I dropped instead of just letting it fall. I caught the screwdriver, but stabbed the condenser. I also lost a phone in the ocean trying for the hero catch before, so you think I would've learned.

Not that long. I was a bit disappointed at the blank stare I got at home which got worse when I tried to explain it.
Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters are bands I should love. On paper they have everything I love in a band. I kinda like the stuff I hear, but they are just missing something .
I think if I saw they live I would like it more. I have heard they are killer shows.

I'm with you on the Foo Fighters. I like the idea of liking them, and Dave Grohl seems like a cool dude, but they just lack something - maybe it is the element of danger.
Outside of a few catchy hits, I feel that Pearl Jam are highly overrated.
My confession: I can't stand Led Zeppelin.
I feel the same way about Pearl Jam. I've just... never liked them.
Yet I thoroughly enjoy Action Bronson. My brain is weird.
I am not nearly as good at wrenching as I like to think I am. But, still better than most of my friends!

When SWMBO and I are both in the car, it's on Alt Nation non-stop. When it's just me, I switch it over to either the 80's On 8 or BPM.

Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Staind, Creed, Godsmack, I kinda group them all togheter and I strongly dislike them all. Don't get all the Curt Cobain hype.
I lost my toothbrush and keep forgetting to buy a new one...
...so I've been using someone else's (without their knowledge) for the past week.
The older I get, the less enjoyable it is to wrench on cars. I'm in the process of pulling the motor on a crx and its fighting me the entire way. Lots of cursing and good beer are helping, but it's still not fun.

I've been rotating between Backspin, the Billy Joel Channel, the the 40s channel.
I bailed on a screaming deal for autocross wheels and tires because I give up on learning to tune. I'm paying a local tuner.
I also have no motivation to work on anything right now, even though the daily, elky, wife's mazda, and duster all need wrench time.
I just re-read the first twenty pages of this thread. Now I have a sad because of all the people that aren't here anymore.
I just spent the last 3 hours reading this thread start to finish. Holy E36 M3. And if any of you were confused about really old posts getting +1 (if there's notifications) it was me

Deep tracks. Its been on in the shop for a month or more, and nobody is tired of it yet.
So, I was just reading in this month's Car and Driver, guest piece by Peter Nanso. He mentions "my neighbors in Berkley", and my GRM mind filled in the GRM blanks and read it, plain as day, as "my neighbors in F_ _ k".
