Couple of days ago I found a decent sized branch in the driveway, between the cars.
Today I found the ding it put in the A pillar right at the corner of the windshield of the longbeast.
Wife has been sick, and has finally gotten better. So, now I’m sick. Staying home to keep from infecting anyone else. At least I’ve got a four day weekend to try to recover.
Listen here, kiddo, sorry you're wound up over nothing. I'm sorry that I'm not getting-in-the-shower-right-now! Throw you hissy fit somewhere else. I'm not a berkeleying 5 year old. I offered to let you go first, as I take stuipd hot showers so I don't run you short of hot water. Oh, your mind is set on 1:00? Its 11:10 right now? 2 hours.
What's the big deal?
Fixed the lights on the Ridgeline.
Got Gerti in the barn to start work on her.
Thing are looking up.
The starter died on the CR-V.
Dang it.
In reply to Bent-Valve :
Look at the bright side. You can now point and laugh at people who complain about where Northstar engines have their starter.

Is it a K in the CR-V? Replacing the starter was easy on my TSX. I pulled the fans, split the intake manifold, and it's right there on the front of the engine.
took the Abarth back to the dealership for it's annual once over I have to do to keep the lifetime engine warranty they have. While it was there I had them change the oil and let them talk me into rotating the tyres.
Two things: Abarth's run 37psi on the fronts, so the pressure sensors were not happy to only see 32 and my side skirts are both popped at the front. I am taking her back saturday to have them look at the skirts they messed up

Annnnd we just came out to visit family and another branch blew out of the same tree and dinged the roof of the S60 now. I hate this berking sycamore.
Not enough stomach for the food.
Everything came out perfect.

Then it's not hard. Took me maybe 90 minutes in my driveway. Pull the fans, pull the top part of the intake manifold, and it's easily accessible from the front without jacking up the car.

Depending on which generation CR-V it is, there isn't enough room to get the intake manifold out of the way, like there geometrically isn't enough room to remove it from between the rest of the manifold and the core support. I generally end up removing the throtlte body so I can shove the manifold as far to the driver side as I can to access the starter.
Totally doable, of course, but it makes you wonder WTF sometimes.
I worked today so I didn't get to go argue about politics with the family. I made the mistake of calling my parents and my father spent the last hour arguing with me about something I said a month ago about the President. I may put in to work Christmas too.
I decided it wouldn't be too bad going to Walmart tonight. I was wrong.
My sisters decided too get in a fistfight today at thanksgiving. I would have bet on the fight but it was upsetting to my very sick father so me and my other sister had to play bouncer. I can't wait to do it again next year, berkeleying idiots

Isn't family just berkeleying terrific? Last night my oldest sister Patti suggested that this year for Christmas, instead of trying to get gifts for everyone it would just be easier to draw names from a hat and only be responsible for getting stuff for one person, specifically citing that she knew things are hard for my middle sister Roxanne (who had already left at that point) and it would take a lot of stress and financial burden off of her. We draw names for everyone and my mother calls my sister Roxanne to let her know the plan and who she had to get gifts for, and my sister blows up and says that Patti and her husband hate her and this whole thing is a plot to sabotage her Christmas. Okay, you berkeleying psychopath. It was actually to make things easier on you, but believe what you want to believe. And people wonder why I have such a dim view on the concept of family.
First decent snow of the season, everybody forgets how to Berkeleying drive. What a E36 M3 show...

Here, for some insane reason, everyone slows to a crawl in rain, but if it snows, it's pedal to the metal time.
The local pick and pull is completed liquidated of any lsx specific goodies by local speed shops. Guess I can't hate someone for making a living, but I don't have the availability to drop everything and rush to the yard when a 4l80e is in stock.

Everybody around here thinks that if they have 4-wheel go, they also have 4-wheel stop. It just ain’t so...
The top caliper bolt on the front passenger side decided to part company with my car this morning on my way to work. I am close to the Pick -N - Pull and they have one car that should have what I need, but crap, not what I needed today.
