All the paperwork we did a couple weeks ago getting myself (and another trustee) onto the business resolution (for our church) at the bank was basically a waste of time for what we needed...a replacement for our credit card. So there's ANOTHER form that we have to get filled out and we all have to be there to do it.

My ankle is killing me. Usually I have a reason for pain like this. But I can't think of anything that I did to bother it.
Older injury, perhaps?
I have a 40-year-old skateboarding injury to my right ankle that randomly decides to give me crap about it for a day or two.
Every time I take a "shortcut" recommended by Google maps I regret it. Instead of saving me 7 minutes it cost me 20. It just routs everyone down the same residential road and clogs it. I normally don't even use maps on my way to work, but I was running late and hoped to get here a bit earlier. At least my job is very relaxed on start time

I've been seeing this a lot lately and it frustrates me
Why?
I can't speak for Budget, but maybe it's because the used car market is being taken over by professional skimmers, leaving fewer opportunities for the rest of us?

Change shoes recently? I have figured out that if I get any footwear with too much arch, it's agony. Especially after a run (not the running shoes).
Or are you just getting old?

My knees had been giving me grief for quite some time, and the solution was a $350 pair of Redwing boots.
Worth. Every. Penny.

I am desperately burnt out. I need to fill a bag with granola and whisky and books and go sleep in a tent somewhere for a few weeks.
I understand this a lot.
It may not make you feel better but apparently roughly 75 percent of people are in the same boat.
In reply to Kreb (Forum Supporter) :
Yeah i guess i'm frustrated by it for the same reason i'm frustrated by ticket scalpers and other resellers. I get it, it's capitalism, but it just feels scummy
I have a massive pimple right at where my baseball hat hits my forehead. It hurts like hell. I've been told the city is considering a new zip code for it.
Lost my kitty of 17 years last Monday. Still hurts and I am so very sad. I have always gotten right back on the horse and rescued another one but man the pain hurts this time. I know 17 good years is worth a month of pain but still.

My condolences.
I hate losing a pet. We have lost two cats this year. Both of them in their late teens. It sucks.
In reply to wearymicrobe :
So sorry for your loss.
In reply to wearymicrobe :
Sorry for the loss of your kitty. Losing a pet feels like taking a punch to the gut.

I feel this. I can't do that because I'd worry about how many emails I'd have waiting for me after a few weeks of not checking. Dammit I hate emails.

Sorry to hear about your kitty. It's always shorter than we live, so it's never long enough.

I don't think it's any different now that it was in the past, at least I haven't noticed it. And I'm one of those guys, though not a professional, who is constantly looking and will jump on something if I think it's cheap enough and I can make a buck on it. I've been doing it since the 80's
I look at it like this. The person selling got what they wanted. When I increase the price and sell it, the guy buying it got what he wanted, and most importantly, if I make a buck, I got what I wanted.
Everybody's happy... 'cept you guys

Yeah, I can't actually do it either. I'll cope by just continuing to get by as things get harder.

These days I end up working an hour or so a day when I'm on vacation to keep the email count down to a dull roar. 95% of them I can kick to my admin or manager. 4% I can ignore until I'm back in the office. That leaves me a handful to respond to. It's not terrible but still a bit of a pain.

Back when you had an "in basket" and no email my coworker would go into the office on Sunday night after a week long vacation to clear it out - I told him, no way would I ever do that, I get little time off.
As I got older I ended up being this guy so I step up on Sunday night to clear out my email so my first Monday back doesn't suck the big one....
In reply to Datsun240ZGuy :
I just took off 2 days and did the same thing when I got home tonight. I just skimmed the E36 M3 off the pile. So at least my inbox is only half as big as it would have been if I did nothing.
Side rant, took 2 days off, got told the day before vacation I had to travel the day I got back. Nothing like getting off the road with family, packing your bags and getting right back on the road 😐
berkeley you UPS. I worked last night for my 12hrs. Spoke to, signed some papers with my attorney. Don't berkeleying promise a delivery requiring a signature between 1145-1345 and show up at 1119. I'm berkeleying asleep! Cocknobblers. Yet you left my other packages just fine.
'th hell is with people today and yesterday? Driving like jackasses. Impolite people on the street and in stores.
Must be
These bandages are itchy. My skin is tight. I can't wash my hands properly. It hurts to rest my arm on anything. I can't really bend one elbow or one knee. We found out today our health insurance premium is going up by $180 a month and I don't even have a doctor. Our company picnic is tomorrow and I really don't think I want to go. My kid yells at me too much. My wife yells at my kid too much.
If I was a horse, I'd have to shoot me.
