While there's no getting out of considering her complaint, I'd be having a discussion with her about the wisdom of asking someone who has been out of the office for the last six months to address a conflict of this kind-- it's not a good look.
Yeah, I'm not happy and I'm going to let her know. I'm not too impressed with my boss either. I didn't hear form him until a couple weeks ago. I had employees out for a month and called or emailed them to ask how they were doing and if there was anything I could do for them. I really need to keep my E36 M3 together until next Thursday. After that this place can berkeley off.
Yesterday evening I logged onto FB and the first post that I saw was a post by the wife of the author of a long-running Sci-Fi book series (serial, almost) that I've been reading for a while letting everyone know that her husband had died that morning of a massive heart attack in his sleep. Despite having never actually met or even been in direct contact with the author, this hit me really hard as it brought me back to when much the same thing had happened to a friend of mine about 15 or so years ago- he suffered a massive heart attack in the middle of the night and his wife woke up and discovered what had happened. It's also one of my bigger fears- I know how hard it hit my friend's wife, and honestly the thought of what something like that would do to The Dancer worries me less than my worries about death in general.

This happened to a friend of mine almost exactly five years ago. He's still traumatized by it, as they hadn't been married for very long when it happened.
I'll admit to checking to see if it was one of my favorite authors, too...
Called AAA for a wrecker at 1:30.
Called twice sice then, automated system tells me im in que.
Finally get a human just now who tells me that the order was sent to a wrecker comapny that went out of buisness, so i will have to be put back in que, amd be present with the vehicle when the get there.
Im berkeleying PISSED.

My experience with AAA is that they'll jerk you around till you hire your own, then they'll call you this Thursday to see if you still need a tow, then lie to you about sending you a reimbursement form in the mail.
