Went in to court this morning to finalize my divorce. Had my Pentax with me, stopped and took a picture of the statue out in front of the building (its a nice one, 13th Judicial Court, 800 E Twiggs, Tampa, if you wanna look)
This deranged nutter asks me if I took a picture of him, I tell him truthfully I didn't even realize he was there and I was taking a picture of the courthouse. He tries to take his phone out and take a picture of me, but the light has changed so I'm walking across the street towards the courthouse and he is following me ranting and raving.
Was so bad one of the deputies in the area starts to wander over to ask what's going on and I ended up held up for 10 minutes while this guy tries to get me to show the deputy that I took a picture of him, despite the fact that its a film camera.
Finally I showed the deputy my appointment letter, told him I have somewhere to be, and this guy can be crazy on his own time but not mine and left.
Guy was still yelling when I was heading to the elevator after passing through the metal detectors and such.

I went to the store I bought them from over lunch. Now I'm just stuck in the "our $75 tester says they're good to go" phase of the battle. Which is the part I knew I was up against.
"That's interesting. Mine says they aren't. Let's throw them on your charger and see if you can get them to take a charge."
That's where we left it! Shall update tomorrow.
Positive/reasonable resolution: one battery was "iffy", other was fine. That's actually what my fancy smart chargers were telling me. So, since they're in use as a pair, I bought a single new one, they're warranty-ing the other, and I'm keeping the "good" one to have around and she waived the core on the one I'm buying.
But that first location I stopped can still pound sand.
And then this.
Noddaz daughter is ok, and that is what is important.
I am supposed to go on a date on Saturday, but last night she dropped the 'Oh you play video games' on me when I mentioned I was streaming for the evening...

Ooooh, sorry to see that. Best of everything for a quick and reasonably painless resolution.

To add onto that, I've become accustomed to binging shows without ad breaks. Between streaming and piracy my tv shows haven't had ads for almost 20 years. So watching shows like say Harry Potter baking championship, where it's on ad free HBO Max, and seeing the cuts to commercial with the "here's what happened right before the commercial break" recap really throws me off.
Not quite as bad as the shows from Discovery networks that have 4 minutes of show, 14 minutes of ads, and 12 minutes of what happened before and after the ads, but still annoying.
Late edit: another annoyance just popped into my head. The shows that get shorter as they get more successful. Season 1 starts at 23 minutes of show, but by season 4 it's down to 20, and season 8 down to 17. Big bang theory comes to mind first and foremost, and Archer, but it's prolific everywhere.

"Yes, I am a grown-ass adult and have hobbies outside of sleeping and working."

Glad she's OK. How much for the wheels?
