Lots of things in pet food could cause an allergic reaction that could lead to inflammation. We went through that with Linus. My suggestion is don't buy the big bag of food, go with the smaller, cheaper bag, at least until you've established it isn't causing a problem.
She's not thinking it was something that was supposed to be in his food but rather that the closet (the one on the only carpeted floor of the house) always has a slight natural-gassy smell and is usually damp. I think this is because so much of the ducting for the house goes through there and not all of the space around the ducts is sealed perfectly. She thinks that the combination of those might have contaminated the food. I think it's a long shot- but have to admit that it's probably not impossible either, so we will just be storing the new food elsewhere.
I'm trying to figure out what food will work better for the cats too- one or both of them throws up their food every few days which makes keeping the room clean where they typically spend most of their time difficult. I'm hoping that switching to a different food (trying a chicken and peas one, just finished phasing out from their old food) will resolve it.

Moving next weekend, out of a storage unit and into an apartment. I'll be loading the Uhaul, then I want to hire movers to take my E36 M3 up the 2 flights of stairs. Find a moving company on Yelp. Great reviews. 3/4 of a mile away from where we're going! Wonderful! Get an estimate--all seems fair. Read a little closer. $55 for transportation? What? That is a 1/2 hour of their hourly rate. A round trip in the car would only take about 8 minutes! Are they riding there on a team of tortoises?
(Yes, I am asking if it is possible to remove these charges)

They probably have a minimum of leaving the yard.

I'm sure they do, but it is a little ridiculous. Frankly it is eating into the tip of the workers--I'll have to pay for 2 hours minimum of their time, but I'll need them for about 45 minutes total. Why am I paying for an extra 20 minutes on top of the 75 that I'm already paying for that they won't need?
No harm in asking. Politely.

Those two can choke on a bag of dicks.
I'm afraid to guess what your profession is. Is it an old one?
People been dealing with the mentally ill since jesus. So yup, old profession.
Im a mental health clinician. At least until I can find a new career.
I am in that awkward stage between being pissed about working the weekend and happy about raking in easy doubletime. I've got so many projects that need my time, but an extra couple hundred sure ain't gonna hurt...

Just heard more info on my uncle. Worst possible diagnosis. Pancreatic that has metastasized to the liver.
Let's hope and pray he is among the ~2% to make the 5 year survival rate. I have a lot more hockey to play with him.

before I retired, the hardest part of my job wasn't the co-workers … I got along fine with the vast majority of them (and the ones I didn't, didn't matter one way or the other) it was the supervisors, and the higher ups +plus ownership …
pretty much standard worker v. bosses complaint you'll hear from most places

I hope so too.
But spend time making sure he knows how you feel. He'll appreciate it, I bet.
Just got back to Internet access so here's mine.
Last night as we drove along the bluegrass parkway headed to an overnight stay and early morning zip lining. the elderly suburban shut off. Just. Shut. Off. Well berkeley me.
Coasted to the exit and that was that. No start at all. Fuel pump is toast.
Happily a local (and very country) mechanic rolled up about 5 minutes later and said he could fix it. Hook a very short chain to his Chevy and drag the burb a couple miles to his shop.
I didn't need another expense this month but it could be worse.
Why is it I can back in straight, perfectly even between the lines, and other people at work can't even park straight when they drive in nose first... Another time I had to squeeze between my Disco and another car.
Excuse the grainy pic.. battery in the phone was so low I could not use the flash.

Being a commissioned sales guy I can make more money than the branch manager - don't worry, he isn't resentful at all.

Trust me, I know the feeling
Work called an hour ago wanting me to come in. I told them YESTERDAY that I would work if they tell me I was needed before I left home for the weekend. They said no. I asked again right before I walked out the door. Nope, we are fine. Cool, made plans with family and friends that evening. Next day (today) has arrived and sure enough "we need you to come in". Nope, sorry I asked you guys TWICE before my shift ended yesterday. I got plans now and I'll see you Monday. Thing is I knew they were going to be in trouble for today and they were too blind to see it.
$395 for a new fuel pump assembly. Joy.
Place only accepts cash. More joy.
ATM has a daily limit of $300 so I have to get a few bucks from moms boyfriend. Proud moment.
Country mechanic tells me that this whole burned up fuel pump is because I ran it out of gas. "But the gauge...." Is stuck!!!! berkeley me!
I really didn't need this. And the damn thing still isn't running right. This guy thinks it might be a bad injector. berkeley!

AC Delco or 100% markup junk from FLAPS? Just run it as is back home missing if it was mine.... Only because he's guessing at this point.
AC pump, he's cool about that part. And yeah, I'm just taking it home now. I'm frustrated with it at the moment, chasing a "misfire" is getting expensive. I just want the damned thing to be reliable.

with lots of companies this refusal will be held over your head somewhere down the road … after asking twice, the best recourse is to NOT answer the phone .. let it go to voice mail … when you get to work on Mon and they start giving you E36 M3 for not answering … that's when you remind them that you'd asked twice on Fri … when told "nope, we're ok" … so you made plans and turned the phone off … or you were someplace where there wasn't reception
always have a CYA story in place
So yeah the crazy neighbor is at it again, something about listening to music and working in my driveway on my cars at noon and drinking beer. It was comical. Yeah no HOA and totally legal go ahead and call the cops, beginning to understand why the house was way cheap.
SOOOOOOO! yeah all the cars go seafoamed today after this noise. berkeley that noise. Cadillac was seriously bad and I had a very small lifter noise that I needed to fix and I had a lot of oil in the heads and in other places that might not have needed it.
This is a small representation of what came out of the tailpipe of the Cadillac.

That is exactly why I leave my work phone in my truck parked at my house Friday night until Sunday when. I will plug it in to charge it. If they call me I don't know about it until it's too late.
if it's understood that I'll make myself available, i.e. be on call, that's different .. but once I left the job where I DID have to take call duty, I stopped EVER answering the phone if the caller ID was from work
