This crazy thing called "looking ahead", I practice it religiously. Plenty of times people have pulled out on red lights that I've had to avoid. I also drive a 3/4 ton truck, so...
Of course, the comment is in jest. shiny happy person people that text and drive will always be shiny happy people, who are we kidding that they are going to change their actions because of a mere life or death incident.
when I had my MVA … someone ran a traffic light .. I had a line of cars on my right, and oncoming traffic on the oncoming lanes … nowhere to go … hard braking … skid marks of ~ 15' .. T-boned her … broke both of my wrists … I saw her coming .. but just didn't have time
And another hard brake line just popped on the Suburban.
This was after jump starting it since three weeks with the GPS plugged in had killed the battery.
Thanks GM, WTF do you make these E36 M3 brake lines out of anyway?? No other vehicle I've ever owned has had THAT fail on me.

I had somebody today that almost got T-boned by me. They went the wrong way off of one of our traffic circles, pulled to the side and did a U-turn without looking. While I am sure I had a look of terror on my face, the old guy in the Crown Vi looked totally relaxed.. (amazing what you can see in a moment like that)
Stopped going to my normal alignment guy after he wouldn't do what I wanted.
New guys got me closer (-1.8 out of the -2.5 that should be possible) but also snapped one of my studs.
Figured I'd break something more significant first.
berkeley being on call. And while I'm at it, berkeley you, you manipulating, attention seeking, self absorbed, remorseless, and irresponsible s.o.b. I look forward to the day you get exactly what you think you want.
I spent most of last night, and four hours tonight, and now about three tomorrow on this guy. berkeley him.

LOL … coming home from an autoX this yr, one a 2 lane back road (bypassing some interstate construction) .. a woman in a SUV just pulled out of strip mall in front of me .. I was sitting dead on the speed limit ( 45 mph) … but running the super sticky 71R's … fronts locked up (old car, no ABS) skid marks about 25' … came to a stop ~ a ft and a half from her door … she had stopped because of oncoming traffic in the oncoming lane … NEVER EVER even looked at me … SMH … good brakes and tires FTW
According to the very helpful service guy I just talked to, replacing a water heater in less than 10 years is now "normal". What's better, I can pay a lot more for one with a 10 year warranty, and it will likely last about 11 or 12 years.
I just replaced the 7 year warranty one after 8 years. The first one lasted 5 years.
We have a water softener and those last 10 years - another $500 "fun" item to purchase.
Water heater lifespan is pretty closely tied to water quality. In Saskatoon, our water is good, and my water heater is about 20 years old. My brother in Regina replaces his every 3 years.
this is true. Down here in Southern New Jersey where our aquifers are strained by both the pine barrens and the sandy soil this part of the state is made up of.. our water is very "sweet" and lacks a lot of minerals. If you ever drank "Poland springs" water, it tastes very similar to that

It's much easier on the eyes though, I like to set my OS theme to look like that whenever I can.

Guilty as charged!!

This. SO MUCH THIS.
I've often joked that SWMBO and I need to buy a duplex together so we can each have our side the way we want it.
I'd still have to fix the same amount of stuff though.

Whever I look at a white text, black background website, and look away, i see horizontal stripes wherever I look. I'd read MotoIQ more, but can't stand the white on black.

I'd think you'd have to fix twice as much.
GoPro's dead all the sudden, I can only guess that vibration or heat from direct sunlight killed it. Of course this happened as soon as I bought some gear that only works with the HD Hero 1/2.
I had to make a run to big lots. They already have Christmas stuff out. It's not even October for gods sake. Too early. Seems like every year Christmas gets pushed earlier and earlier. I remember when mom wouldn't let us look at the toys in the Sears catalog until after thanksgiving dinner.
I guess the loss of the Sears catalog is my other rant.
you're late in noticing … I was in a Target a few weeks ago and Christmas displays were going up :what the:
Big news: I work at Lowe's. I've been unloading Christmas E36 M3 since early August. Christmas is dead.

When I was younger I joked that one day the Christmas stuff would be out before Halloween...looks like it's happening now.
