Thank you everyone. We’re still waiting to hear what the doctors decide to do. She got something for the pain, they won’t let her eat, and they did some more tests so I’m guessing that surgery is coming soon.
Side rant: The Wife has been using an insulin pump for years and it’s an amazing little gadget. She pricks her finger a few times a day and the machine keeps her blood sugar somewhere around 80-100. Every single hospital she’s been in looks at it like they’ve never seen one before, removes it, and then does a piss poor job regulating her. She hasn’t eaten in two days and this afternoon her sugar was 233.
Damn that's high. I know she is not feeling good with a blood sugar over 200, much less if they are starving her! I sure hope they get their E36 M3 together down there.
My very minor rant: job hunting sucks sweaty hairy donkey balls.
The doctors have returned and brought an oncologist. The mass has grown to 16cm and there are a few other ugly spots but they don’t think any are cancerous, he’s here just in case allegedly. She’s going to have them removed along with a hysterectomy. She has to be off one of her meds for a few days and they need some presurgical clearances so it’s looking like Tuesday at the earliest. I can’t wait to get this over with.
I forgot I may also have jury duty next week. I had to postpone it once already because she was getting ankle surgery. Am I the only one that feels bad for their insurance company?
In reply to Wally :
Think of it this way.
You're receiving the benifit of those premiums that are paid and never needed.
My rant? My premiums almost doubled this year.
not cancerous is very good. Here is hoping the surgery is the end of her ills
I have to get an MRI Friday night instead of going drag racing. Why can't they schedule like my EKG in a couple of weeks which is in the middle of the work day?
my big toe hurts and I don't remember doing anything to it.

That's a little high, but nothing to worry about. It becomes a problem when its that high for months-years. Sickness, stress, and diabetes knife fight within our bodies to see with one can mess us up more. None of what is happening to her is helping.
Can she test on her own? I'd test every 2-3 hours, and become a massive nuisance to the staff when it start getting out of line.

I know we've never met in person, but sending good vibes to you and your wife. Sounds like the docs have a plan, which is always a good thing. You got friends down in Atlanta pulling for you two.
Thinking good thoughts for you both over here on the West Coast, Wally!
Now where did I put that pineapple and Canadian bacon pizza? :)
Anyway, talk earnestly to the nurse whenever they change shifts and explain carefully what is needed for her levels and try to work with them as much as possible. If they can’t do it, work your way up the ladder until you get someone who can!
For my minor rant?
I’ve got a slight buzz going, which is nice.
The house is completely quiet, which is also nice.
The cheap 3D printer I bought doesn’t seem to want to work with my SD cards. That is not so nice.
I know I’m buzzed enough that I can’t do anything with it tonight. So I’m just wasting time on the internet, drinking a little and trying to avoid responsibilities for just a little while.
Tomorrow, on break, I’ll try to get a computer connected to it and send some basic commands and see if I can get it to print a little.
Grr, stupid thing doesn’t understand fat32 formatted partitions and no one seems to sell small enough cards anymore. OctoPi doesn’t really work with a Rpi on wireless, so I have to come up with another solution to get that up and running on WiFi or via another PC.
I really should get some Cat6 strung throughout the house. It’s really annoying that I have to rely on WiFi nearly everywhere.

Someone oohed at my nekkid Z3 recently. It's a tool. Not a hammer for sure. If it breaks I'll get another. Unlikely to though despite my being a spree clumsy bugger.
Thing is, these phones aren't equal to their purpose as a tool. My S8+ has three distinct cracks, all of which occurred while in a case. A coworker bought a new phone last Friday and broke it Saturday. Everyone I know has a phone that fits one or more of the following descriptors:
* New phone
* Broken phone
* In a rugged case
It's not reasonable to expect that a modern phone can survive an average office workersw life for two years without a protective case.
I think it's time to stop pretending premium materials and design matter. It's time to just make the phone so it's easiest to get it into a case.
I'm seriously considering a ruggedized phone and a case for my next.
Ive had a Samsung s6 activ in an otterbox for a few years. Has even survived being run over. However, my work iPhone: on number 7 in 3 years.
Eh, I've never really and truly broken an iPhone... and my previous one (upgraded because I wanted more space, not due to it breaking) fell out of my biking jersey pocket at about 20mph with nothing but a 'bumper' case on it and was no worse for the wear besides a slight dent in the aluminum trim. I've at points had really sturdy cases, but these days just use a fairly light one as much for the fact that the rubber of the case keeps it in my pocket more solidly.

Fibroids? They can be a serious pain in the ass but are luckily pretty benign. DW's (and my extension, my) quality of life improved a couple hundred percent when she had hers removed via hysterectomy a while ago.

This is probably more bemusement than rant but the ad says $200 obo. I get a text asking what my bottom dollar is. I respond that I have it advertised for $200, but what did you have in mind? Ghosted.
Do people really expect sellers to negotiate against themselves? Does this person actually need rims with mounted tires? I get the guy who throws out a lowball offer and then doesn't respond to my counteroffer, but I'm really confused by the "what's the lowest you'll take" responses. I would think that if you needed what I was selling and didn't want to spend what I was asking, you'd put think about what you are willing to spend and just make an offer.
The more I think about it, it's not a rant. It doesn't really take any skin off my back, but I just don't get it.
I agreed to pay a guy asking price for his wheels. We agreed to meet last Friday afternoon. Dude ghosted me. Finally told me he got called into work. Oh well. I went to dinner with some friends and looked out the window of the restaurant driving by in his Mini with the wheels I was gonna buy still on the car. Leaving the parking structure where the high school kids hang out with their cars. This was like 10 minutes after I got the message. I decided he clearly didn't want to sell his junk and used the cash I brought with me for other things that night.

I've stopped putting "OBO" into my sales. It basically says "I'm trying to sell this for less than I'm asking", which, while true, is not conducive to getting the most I can.
No, Mr Gates. The startup page on the internet is Google, because that's what I want. The more times you turn my page to Microsoft IIT, the longer it will take for me to use it, and the more likely I am to, to... to rage impotently on the internet, I guess.
Leave my berkeleying settings alone.

Still not using Chrome, Firefox, or Opera?
I watch videos on Youtube, comment here, and check Facebook now and then. At work, I run quickbooks and run local suppliers websites to buy parts. None of these things require any particularly high end programming.
Even beyond the highjacking of the start page is the fact that I have to be online to play solitaire now with Win10. What berkeleying data are you mining from me by watching me put a red four on a black five?

The funny: Part of why I hate Chrome is because of the inability to opt out of Google scribbling all over your settings.
