I got my ST yesterday .
I was surprised when the salesperson called and said the Fiesta ST that I was waiting for was in. Didn't expect it for another week or so.
When I first saw it it was as it came of the trailer. We sat in it awhile while she pointed out features.
Then we went inside to discuss the purchase/lease.
Then the fun began. After a really low ball offer on my '13 Fiesta things got a little more interesting. I had to demand my keys back. Then the sales manger came over. I came very close to walking. I think he sensed that and came up with better trade and lease payments.
After nearly four hours I became the quasi owner of a "black" ST. It has black wheels and red calipers.
I haven't really had a chance to drive it much. Getting back to shifting after 8 yrs. is interesting.
You are truly a beacon of hope. Congratulations.

That is when I almost walked out.

Four hours. Ugh.
Sorry, that is still 3 hours too long.
Congrats on your car.
I ordered my Dodge 1500 in 2002 and I still had to do that when it came time to pay; I had the deal IN WRITING but they tried to jack it up anyway. Can’t understand that type of business, get people to cry and pay them more?
Congrats!
Yeah, car buying procedures are berkeleyed up. Things pass for normal that wouldnt fly in any other industry. I'm convinced that until the sales manager has to run out and throw himself in front of your vehicle you are paying more than necessary.
Once again, I am very happy for you!

Some of the time was spent disagreeing on prices. New and trade
then they would go back and re-figure and come up with a new offer.
even the monthly payments varied.
Then I had to decide, buy or lease.
Leased.
Sorry, no pics.
Just go on the Ford site and look for the BLACK ST.
It is very black. The only color is the red calipers.
In reply to iceracer :
Do they all have black wheels?
In reply to Woody :
According to the window sticker the black wheels were $375 extra.

The black wheels and red brake calipers are a $375 package. My orange FiST came with that. At first, I didn't want it, but now I really like the black wheels. They don't show brake dust much at all, and I just don't like washing cars as much as I used to.
So are you driving it yet?
Nice.
When I bought my Avalanche, I believe I was there in and out in 1.5hrs including 30 minutes test driving and generally looking it over. Of course I didn’t have anything to trade in, thanks VW. Plus I also did a lot via email prior to arrival.
Yes, the trade in seemed to be the problem.
I have bought new cars with no trade and it was mostly just doing the paperwork.

Yep, got a couple hundred miles on it. Took a 100 mile loop through the lower Adirondacks. Got over 37mpg, so it can be an economy car.
Taking a more strenuous 400+ trip to far north VT soon.
Getting settle in with the ST. Relearning when to shift etc. All of the gadgets, push button start, touch screen audio are a work in process. Having to refer to the owners manual less.
Boy, is it fun to drive. The ride can be harsh on rough pavement.
