Been thinking about these alot, both because of price and cool appearance, and want to hear your reasons why they wont work for a car?
these are intended for the challenge z, btw

They will work as well as any other fender mirror, which is to say, not at all. Fender mirrors are a fashion statement. They are not a useful accesory for driving a car, unless you are intrigued by seeing a 1 sqaure foot spot somewhere behind your car.
^What he says^
Those are too small to see anything plus they'll vibrate and you wouldn't be able to see what little will show up in the mirror. Motorcycle handlebars are usually dampened somehow, usually with rubber isolators and they still vibrate at high rpms. Car fenders are not.
Wait, so car fenders vibrate, but doors don't? Don't get cheap MC mirrors and they won't have bad vibration problems. I've never seen a handlebar with rubber anywhere on it save for the grips, so, maybe I've been missing out on some cruiser stuff but I'm not sure I'd agree with that either.
Didn't mean to imply that. Meant that the long arms of the motorcycle mirrors will vibrate on any solid mount, door or fender. They will amplify the normal vibration on whatever they are mounted to. Shorter arm or even better, thicker arm/base would absorb the vibration. No matter where you mount it. The XS650 I have in my garage has rubber bushings under the handle bar mounts effectively acting as a damper. The mirrors on the XS650 vibrate at higher rpms. Then again so does the handlebars. Almost every street bike I've been around has some type of similar setup. The motocross bikes were solid mount but they don't have mirrors.
then again, the car wont be driven on the street much, the mirrors in my dd (door mirrors) vibrate so much that the view at any speed is very shaky, so I'm used to using the rearview, a quick glance at shoulder, and a quick glance at mirror to see any upcoming cars. at like $7 for the pair, I might just try them out to see how they do.
the mounting is going to be kind of...different to figure out though. I guess attach a plate w/nut of appropriate thread size welded to it on underside of fender then screw it in?
I thought about doing the same for my challenge car but the mirrors I had, I decide would look odd on the fender.
I moved my right hand mirror to the fender on my Miata. It did skake until I put a piece of sheet aluminium under it to stiffen it. Now it is solid and I do not have to turn my head to check my mirror.
Some of the Harley's I've own shook so bad that many items more vital than the mirrors fell off, such as brake levers, clutch levers, engine parts, etc., but I can honestly say I never lost a mirror. If mirrors can stay attached to the trembling hunks of Milwaukee's favorite junk, them I'd say that a car fender should be no problem.
