And I'm thinking of feeding it some of this.

Corrosive primers bother me a bit, but as long as I clean it immediatly after use I should be ok right? It's not like it isn't built like a brick E36 M3 house.
Anyway, thought I would ask some opinions, and pass it along at the same time. I know there's at least one more FAL owner on here.
In reply to Spinout007:
Were it me, i would try to shoot it up in one or two goes and follow with an extra through cleaning. The way i understand it the primers attack the lining of the barrel, chrome lined barrels help with the corrosive stuff but i would still clean afterward. If i did not have a chrome lined barrel i would not fool with the stuff
Slight thread jack, what kind of FAL do you own, how much was it and how well does it do at 100yds? I am very interested in one myself, and going back a forth between a G3 and FAL because M14's are so high.
I've got some corrosive ammo. Virtually all the 8mm is corrosive, especially the stuff that sold for seven cents a pop, which is now around thirty cents. My opinion, and that expressed on teh 'net, yo, and rumored to be what the Germans said to do is to clean it that day with hot soapy water and/or ammonia and/or Hoppes No.9, stick the barrel in the solution and pump the solution up and down with the cleaning jag, oil it up well, then do it all again the next day.
This stuff is cheaper and non-corrosive:

If there's one thing the Russians know how to do, it's make bullits.

meh, just spray windex down the barrel before you leave the range, then clean as usual when you get home... Gahh! I totally should have bought that AK at the last gun show, it was only $400 and gorgeous!
400 for an AK? yeah you should have grabbed it and flipped it.

Mine is actually a L1A1 that is a former armory weapon, so it's OLD! but that being said, As long as you keep your rate of fire down, and not go ballistic with the trigger, (it can be hard to do sometimes with this gun it's soooooo sweet) I can pull 8 inch groups at 100 yards with the built in peep and iron front sights. With optics mounted I had no trouble with 2-3in groups from a standing position. I'm thinking about a kit for it that has a heavy bull barrel, bipod, scope mount, competition grip and adjustable stock, but that takes it out of the assault rifle realm and into the world of sniper/target rifles. As for how much I paid for it, well I got mine on partial trade for my old Camaro, counted it worth 400$ the guy wasn't to happy about it but he took the deal anyway, I had no idea at the time of what it was or what it was worth, I just knew it was DIRTY as all get out, and the scope was no where near sighted in. I think that's why he was offering it, he had no idea on how to work on it or sight it in. At 30 yards I can dump a mag and put 90% of it into a chest sized area in about 5-7 seconds, I would not want to face one of these in a firefight, the fact it punches through cinder blocks like they aren't there is also a bonus. OH YEAH you should see what .308 does to over ripe pumpkins....gooey is all I can say. It all depends on what you want it for, shooting for fun, or defense, hunting?(I've seen people around here hunt with their ak,sks,ar) Personally, I like long range target shooting, hence the reason I'm considering the before mentioned kit, but at the same time, I've got an old Lee-Enfield that's also chambered for 7.62x51 that I pull 1-2 inch groups at 100 yards with iron sights that I've debated on the same treatment for. Pulled my best group ever a few months ago with it, 4 out of 5 holes were touching one another .
On another note I'm debating on adding a 7mm to the collection or a .40 handgun, leaning towards the M&P compact.

Wow, I just checked out the prices there for .303, the 180 grain stuff is cheaper than the 150 grain.....( a friend of mine swears by .303 british)
JG Sales is good to deal with. They are one of the cornerstones of SGN, and supported Neal Knox by donating column space to him when no one else would talk to him about his crazy ideas of the NRA actually supporting the 2nd Ammendment.
Spinout, you need to join www.sporterizing.com. You'd fit right in.

Depends on what kind it is. Aim Surplus has new Romanian WASR 7.62x39 AKs for $380.
Aim also has South African surplus 7.62 NATO for $.50/round. It's non-corrosive, but it is Berdan primed, so not really reloadable. I haven't used it but it's supposed to be pretty good stuff. Personally I'm not a fan of shooting corrosive ammo in an expensive rifle when non-corrosive ammo is available. I won't put Wolf in something that costs as much as my M1A & a FAL isn't cheap either!
I know more than a few people that haven't had alot of luck with wolf, that being said, their shotgun stuff works just fine for making things blow up, but I wouldn't use it if I wasn't going to clean up IMEDIATELY! after using it.
Just remembered I heard something today that really really disturbed me. Rumor I heard today was that you would be asked/required to list your "registered" firearms on your tax return this year. Just rumor but I thought I would throw that out, I haven't done any research on it yet.

That's part of the berkeleying HEALTHCARE BILL!
There is no problem running corrosive primers as long as you clean the gun after shooting it. Either use soap and hot water or ammonia (anything with ammonia like windex) to neutralize the acid, then clean with hoppes or whatever.

This won't happen. It's been posted on arfcom about 5,000 times. It's from a proposal that died without becoming law years ago.
I think it's from one of those shiny happy people in Congress from Detroit or Chicago. He keeps introducing it but it keeps dying in committee. The communists, I mean Democrats and "centralist big tent" Republicans won't try disarming us right now. Things are to high strung and they know it.
I've heard the Wolf stuff is a little "iffy," but in general, always goes boom. Some guns don't like it, like AR's with tight chambers. If you can get the .ZA stuff for 50 cents a pop, that's the way to go.
I would hate to see what would happen if they tried to disarm a friend of mine, he prob has in the neighborhood of 1000+ guns, he calls me every once and awhile, "hey man found another one I forgot about. wanna go shooting?" "WTF man? sure". I mean he's got a Nam era grenade launcher sitting in the corner of his living room that he keeps loaded with his own special rounds for the neighborhood houligans, (more flash and boom, than anything else). Needless to say 4th of July is a hoot with him around. He also claims he could outfit most of the small town he lives in if the zombies ever attacked. Prob supply the ammo to go with it to, he's the one that got me started on Enfields. I truely hate him for that.
