My father in law is better than your father in law. Picked him up at the airport, kids were still in school so he spent three hours chipping sound deadening out of the RX7 with me. Dude is awesome. That's all.

Challenge accepted. My father in law challenged me to a burnout contest. His 67 gto vs my ms3. He won.
No fair, I don't have one to hang with yet :(
(The likely one is a pretty rad dude, though)
You're right though, yours is awesome :)
My farther in law is no longer with us.
He was a great guy but a mechanic he wasn’t. His entire universe of tools easily fit into a tackle box and made no sense from a “what tools would you have if they all had to fit into a tackle box” prospective.
I could easily infer his life of failed repair attempts by the ridiculous stuff in that old box.
Ive had 3 father in laws in 13 years with the same woman. Which one do I compare him to?
My mother in law REALLY loves getting married!
My FIL is a creepy old perv. Although he does have some interesting stories about his time with the Hell's Angels out in Cali during the 60's, or the occasion where he stuck his knife through a guy's hand to the bar before the guy could reach for his gun...
My possible future father in law is pretty meh. Typical conservative Albertan, not super smart, not supet dumb, hard working, decent enough guy.
Now my father on the other hand is a god damn rockstar (figuritively).
My father-in-law is pretty incredible. He can do anything when it comes to carpentry/home improvement. He installs high-end kitchens and baths for work, and he's helped us remodel two houses, build a killer treehouse, and is always willing to help out. I consider myself very lucky in that I have a father and father-in-law who are both great role models. If I become half the men they are, I'll have done well
Mine is a great guy but he's married to a narcissistic psychopath.
Seriously, I could go on for days about the nutty stuff this woman does.
My (future) father in law is exactly what you would expect from a white man named Otis (That's Sit-O backwards). When we were in college, he'd bring us about 3 cases of Busch Lite every time he'd visit. We're going up today to see his induction to his community colleges hall of fame.
My father and father-in-law are both long gone but I feel blessed in both cases.
My father was an ME and consummate DIY'er. He started my brother and I helping him with the DIY projects at an early age. He had a fairly complete machine shop in the basement where I learned skills that enabled me to pay for a college education.
My father-in-law was a heavy equipment mechanic. I was only around him for 10 years before he died, but I sure learned a lot helping him with side jobs.
My father-in-law is ok provided we keep discussion limited to guns, guns or guns, veering away from those topics means war, with guns.
My husband's father-in-law, on the other hand is the best ever, not that I'm biased or anything
My father-in-law is brilliant and a terrific human being, but he's not a car guy. He doesn't even have a car, though to be fair he lives in Seoul and you don't need one there.
My parents on the other hand are 2 elderly people with more horsepower in their garages than any human being has a need for. My mom especially is fully willing to sink to the level of stupid kids and will actually race ricers when she gets challenged, which is almost every time she drives her supra. She wins, too
She's the only grandmother i've ever heard say "Stupid punk thought he could beat me!" except of course for my grandmother (her mother).
I never knew my FIL, he passed away before I got married.
My father on the other hand is where I got all my car stuff from, first with a 240Z he bought new, and then a loooonnng stream of BMWs of various flavors. And of course he is a real retired NASA rocket scientist (actually an engineer, but hey), and worked on much of the Apollo stuff. But then so did most people in this town. But I'm proud of him.
