Don't know if this makes sense but thought it might be a fun topic to discuss here. I am tired of hearing that some of the outer fringe politicians make statements that piss off most people but generate lots of money for them. So instead of watching TV and cursing at them I need a way to send some bucks to whoever will run against them in the next election and give it to them. Then I want to see a web site showing how much money is accumulating in that bucket. It might be fun to see what happens to the fringe types when they see that they generated 250K last night but swear jar PAC did twice as much for anyone who runs against them in the next election.
I like it! Time to register a domain and start a non profit!

Thanks, gave that consideration for a week but this is beyond my skill level. Need to be greedier or a lawyer. So just seeing someone follow through would be enough gratification for me.
So to be clear, this hypothetical PAC doesn't support any candidate or party, money generated from a single event goes to everyone but the candidate that made whatever statement?
In reply to ProDarwin :
I read it as going to whoever runs against the source of ire specifically. Opponent for the same office.
I'm sure there are plenty of issues, ways to game it, unintended consequences, but I've heard worse ideas. I mean, maybe this isn't specifically practical, but mobilizing on this metric somehow?
I think the part I like is that it gives visibility to folks who aren't on the loud fringe in any direction, and are angry with those who are and those who pander to them. "Aigh! Not this idiocy again. Here's five bucks to help make it stop." (On the swear jar principle of each aggravation, this is going to happen frequently)
Is not some of the money generated also *used* by the PAC to... perhaps... generate more funds, such as by hosting motorsports events for publicity...?
