my mailman is the worst

Always getting other peoples mail. Don't know where all of mine goes. Gotten so bad, I can't have my customers mail me checks anymore. Last week I got four of the same sales flier and none of them were addressed to me. Latest one had me laughing. Last two days my box was overstuffed with sales fliers to the point that the box wouldn't close. Not that he takes the time to close it most days anyway. Didn't think anything of it cause Christmas is coming. Just now my wife said to me "did you notice that all of these fliers are from several weeks ago and all of these sales are over"???? Sure enough, most had kids in Holloween costumes on the front.

No, MINE is the worst. We had to get a PO box to make sure we were getting the few important things we still get on paper. Just this last week we had another package go missing and we received one for a neighbor. We have a neighborhood Facebook page that is almost exclusively used for missing pets and misdelivered mail.

We have one of those central boxes. Everyone comes out of their house to get the mail out of their box, then comes back to it later to trade mail. The good news is that we've met a lot of our neighbors that way.

One time my mailman left my next door neighbor's paycheck laying on my front yard.

If you're having problems, call the post office and complain. It can help.

Wow, what an E36 M3-y mailman.

My bosses mail man won't deliver mail is there is anything parked within one car length of the box. He will however get out of his truck and put a note INSIDE the mailbox stating that he couldn't deliver mail because there was a car parked too close.

We had one of those. We used to get OPM all the time. Either he quit or got canned, because the new guy is MUCH better, even if we sometimes don't get mail until 6:00p.

They've recently consolidated routes.. it can happen now especially if they are covering for someone who is sick.

call your local PO. ask to talk to the postmaster or supervisor. You problem will be fixed.

If not. report it to these guys. https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/ You're receiving mail for others and believe that your mail is going somewhere else.. Sounds like mail theft. Sounds like these dudes should kick some ass.

Our post office had two slots for outgoing mail: Local and Out of Town. Now they have labeled one slot "All Outgoing Mail" and the other (with a professionally made plastic sign) "Incorrectly Delivered P.O. Box Mail".

This is inconceivable to me. They are essentially admitting that they are so incompetent at sticking mail in the proper slot in their own building, and that it happens so frequently that it makes more sense to create a place for customers to manage their own mistakes for them. And, they point this out to everyone who walks in the door. Wouldn't it make more sense to just try a little harder and get it right the first time?

8pm is technically their end of day operations.

Contact your local Post office, the Post Master can't fix what he doesn't know about.

My mail lady used to stuff it into the slot (box is the size of four shoe boxes) and all the mail got wet except for the 2" inside the box.

My mailman is fantastic, but my UPS and FedEx guys are so bad I had to put a shed out at the end of my driveway with a sign on it to keep packages from being left in the dirt driveway in rain or snow.

our mailman WAS great … then he moved up the seniority list enough to get a route nearer where he lived …his replacement sucked … really sucked ..

for whatever reason he's moved on now … thank you someone .. the mail lady is every bit as good as the old one ..

the subdivision i live in has one of those PO box islands out in one guy's yard where we are supposed to get our mail... since i'm only renting the house, i decided to get a PO box at the office downtown instead of getting my mail there. they were very specific in telling me that i had to make sure the PO box came last on my address, and that any mail without both my name and the PO box wouldn't get delivered..

at least once a week i get someone else's mail in my box.. sometimes it's the person that used to have that box number, sometimes it's just a random person- one time it wasn't even addressed to anyone in my town.. a few times when i took the mail that i wasn't supposed to get back into the office, the lady said "well, it was worth a shot" as she took the mail from me..

i can't help but wonder how much of my mail is sitting in that little island just down the block that was supposed to be delivered to my PO box downtown or how much stuff of mine wound up at some random person's house..
