My good friend and I were cruising around in his truck and decided to drop by one of my friends house that i had not seen in months. After talking to her for awhile i spotted a tractor sitting by the garage. I joked around and said i would give her $50 and its gone tonight....
I gotta learn to let my brain work before my mouth starts.
I now own a riding mower
Today i started working on it.
And one minute later (almost exactly one minute too)
Gave it a quick wash and i think im off to a good start. Needs a battery and i have to mire in a ignition switch
I just want something to dick around with until i find another project bike/car. Gotta figure out the pulleys to make it faster and the clutch too.
Also i might (most likely will) lower it for kicks.

Make it reeeally low, add a kirkey aluminum seat, give the front tires some camber. Im sure this can be done somehow by bending/fabbing something.
Gear it right and I bet that thing could be a lot of fun.
There was an article about turning riding mowers into go carts in a magazine recently... If only I could remember what magazine it was!
Have you taken it off any sweet jumps?

That garage looks like it should have a spare turbo in it. Does it have a spare turbo in it? Because it should.
Hmm ... how about a vertical Wankel?

Does it do wheelies??
Every mower i owned since i was 6 o7 did wheelies
Im thinkin of just starting simple with this an see where it goes.
Although ATV/ dirtbike engine/tranny with ATV rear end seems really tempting

I tried to convince my Dad to buy me one of those when I was in Highschool.
looks like with out serious modification to the frame in the rear, lowering it is not gonna happen
the face reminds me of Futurama robot
Ok well today my brother decides that his mower needs to run now too. so he brings it into the garage to fix. 15 hp to my 10.5.
I have to win.
need help lowering it and a new clutch setup using stock pars.
I need a $50 riding mower.

Assming there's a reduction in the belt drive from the motor to the gearbox, swap the pullies?

This is my first thing to do. The rear pulley on the axle has got to be like 8 ish inches and i have a couple that are 3 ish inches. That should help. Ill see if i can squeeze a larger pulley on the engine shaft too.
Do you need to lower it or can you do a body drop? Stock suspension with lower CG could be easier for you.
Wait the headlamp is broke, you need to sell it.

15hp>10.... but you've got less weight with no mower deck on it.... assuming your brother is still gonna mow lawns with his, a shorter drive and the weight loss should have you two pretty close.
Of course you could always tune it for e85.....

Sawzall and a mig unit, no problem.
just swap engines when your brother isn't looking...

Your sayin just lower the fenders and hood and all that? If that is what your saying then i had not though of that and that is a easy cheap way to get the look i want.
