I lost my late wife back in 2013 so I know the grief you feel. For a while you'll have to just stumble through life meeting obligations, doing the stuff that has to be done. There is no way to make it better. Or easier. 
The good stuff is those moments when you'll just feel her with you. Don't look for them or expect them, they will come though. 

Wally, though it may not feel like it now, you're the strongest person I know. It's far more easier to be a patient then it is to be the person dealing with the loss. 

If you need ANYTHING, an ear, a shoulder, a distraction, a car at the ready for an arrive and drive come October, a parking lot build come October, a roadtrip, assistance in changing things for the better at the local level for you and your coworkers that best not be discussed on here, let us know.

Folks here care for you.  So sorry for what you are going thru.  Keep the faith, she would want you to live and move forward.  Just in the process of helping my Dad thru losing Mom after 51 years of marriage.  It sucks but you can do it.

So sorry for your loss Wally.  I know just how devastating this is, I lost my first wife suddenly back in 2008.  I can say this much... it's hard, it sucks but it will get better.  Take care of yourself first.
