My little sister will never get to have her Mom at her wedding day, or hold her kids, or be there for her as she becomes av parent herself in the future. I cannot express how heartbroken I am for her.
Stage 4 lung cancer took her in less than 4 weeks. She was at peace with all of it and went peacefully.
Two months ago I visited her in Florida with my kids and will always be grateful that we made those memories. She was a big influence in my childhood, and my mom for ten years. A part of her will be with me and them for the rest of our lives.
Rest in peace Tere.

Cancer sucks. Lost my mom a few years ago after a 20 year fight.

To bring this around, she's the person who taught me to drive a stick. My Dad was too intense and flustered me. Tere was patient and a great instructor. All of her cars were manual, including the 68 Vette she bought with her college money instead of going to school.

I am so sorry for your loss. I felt much the same way about my MIL when she passed from complications due to diabetes. It wasn’t pretty and wasn’t something you would think would happen.
And yes, cancer sux.
It's been a bit over 2 years since my mom passed too lung cancer and I still miss her. Sorry for your loss and good luck getting through it.
