Yep. Sr was known for being somewhat shy off track.

why is that? i watched it happen live on tv.. they fought hard that entire race, and at the end Terry was between Sr and the checkered flag and everyone- Terry Labonte, everyone in the stands, and everyone watching live on tv- knew that Dale was gonna do whatever it took to win.. and he did.
yeah, Sr was my favorite driver- but Terry Labonte was my second favorite driver at the time..
