I will be traveling to Nashville on Business staying near the Bridgestone Arena. Anything in walking distance, like museum, music, and food that is recommended? I am open to anything.

Hattie B's Hot Chicken, the original location, is on 19th Ave, only 1.3 miles from Bridgestone Arena. Supposedly the best Nashville hot chicken around. Tootsie's World Famous Orchid Lounge is also nearby. If you're into country music, a lot of stars show up there and play some unplugged sets. Downtown Nashville is definitely not what most people expect, it's pretty small and only a couple blocks.
I was just there. Had a conference in the Music City Center. You will be real close to the heavy tourist area on Broadway that has all the "honky tonks". It's a mob scene and I avoided it but it may be fun if your into that sort of thing. Across the street from the Bridgestone Center (corner of Broadway and Rep. John Lewis Way) is an area with a bunch of restaurants and a food court called The Assembly Food Hall (if I remember right). The food court is on the second level and it has just about everything you could possibly want in quick food. Hattie B's hot chicken is on the first level of the complex. There is always a line. I waited 45 minutes for my take out and thought it was worth it. I was on my own there, and I'm old so I really didn't go out, but some of the places in Banker's Alley and Printer's Alley looked kind of cool. Rise Up is about 2 blocks up the hill from Broadway on Rep. John Lewis Way and it has excellent chicken and biscuits and doughnuts. While I was there (late May) it seemed like the place young ladies went to make bad decisions. Lots of bachelorette and "finally 21" parties with the matching t-shirts. Seemed like a pretty happening place.
Go to the Frist. The Building alone is worth the trip. The Flying Saucer next door has awesome Bratwurst Pretzels (Bratzels) and hundreds of beers.
Lane Auto Museum is a must see. Tons of micro cars, and an outstanding place for an auto enthusiast.
Third Man Records has tours.
The Hustler store is to some tastes, but not mine.
Jack's BBQ.
Across the river in East Nashville, Little Five Points has some great bars and restaurants, more the local scene than Broadway. Names: Crow Bar, Battered and Fried, Princes (also hot chicken, maybe less crowded than Hattie B's, likely less crowded).
Walking From Bridgestone Arena: cross Broadway and turn right. There's a BBQ place there that is better than it should be, considering it's on the main drag surrounded by honky-tonks. It's on the same block as Tootsie's. I think it's called Jack's BBQ.
Great for people watching, that's about it for me. I end up there a few times a year between business and sports and it's a hoot watching the people.
