I witnessed a similar situation as a kid when our cat had kittens. Momma kitty was off somewhere, and lazy daddy kitty was lounging near the kittens. The hungry, newborn kittens (still with eyes closed) could not distinguish between mommy parts and daddy parts. Daddy kitty didn't seem to mind.

I'm not entirely convinced it would increase the amount of time spent copulating if my wife could do that. Frequency, yes, duration, hell no.
