ESPN2 discuss
If I had ESPN2, I'd be watching. Wish I kept up with it more. I love watching a good men's lacrosse game.
I'm disappointed my Blue Jays aren't in the game; hope Maryland gets crushed.
On the local news, they showed the highlights from the D1 womens and men games. It must've been a slow night in the sports world.
And everyone's snow FLAKE plays Soccer handem a stick and tell em to hit something. (Former long stick here)
I'm sure my wife's little brother is watching. He is national top 100 ranked in HS and is getting scouted. He would already be signed for a full ride to a D1 school if he wasn't a D student. As it stands with his grades he has offers for D3.

Neon, where does he play and what D3 schools have given in offers? Another former long pole (and terp here). I may be able to provide some insight on what programs he should steer towards and which ones to stay away from. Both of Saturdays games were fantastic, Monday's not so much. Denver is a great team, love the makeup of the players and the fact they aren't the prototypical Baltimore and Strong Island kids, it's great for the sport. If the terps were going to go down I'm glad that it was to them.
His HS is Owego Free Academy, in NY. He also plays for Gaffers, a travel team out of Corning, NY. Half his summer is spent at various camps, including Nike Blue Chip. This past varsity season he broke a section record, iirc, goals per game, and he tied with another player for total goals for the season. His position is Midi.
The only D3 I know the name of that wants him is Manhattanville. I know he has turned down a few others for not having a Sports Medicine program. His D1 wish list is UNC, Syracuse, Duke and a few others.

Encourage him to look into the JUCO route if he doesn't have a D3 school interested in him that has mutual interest from him. The top NJCAA programs place a lot of guys onto D1 teams after a year or 2, mainly due to grades. I played a season at CCBC after leaving Maryland (due to injury, Maryland honored my scholarship to any state school, but didn't want to have it count against the program as a roster spot) and the Juco team was every bit as good as the team that I went to a pair of Final four appearances on.
Regarding D3 schools, Stevenson has been putting together a great program that is honorable (same can't be said for Berkman at Salisbury) Tim Puls was my coach at CCBC, so if he decides to look in that direction let me know.

that's a bit of a reach if he's a D student … a Jr College might be his only real chance, since they will sometimes take more of a chance on a lousy student than the big time schools … even D3 schools …. if he can make it in Jr Col. and pull up his grades then maybe one of the D1 schools
