Intoxicated guy jumping all around yelling ouch-ouch-ouch after sticking his finger in one.
My friends parents bought one 15 years ago when we were in highschool. They went out of town and there was a bit of a party. Everyone thought it was the coolest thing.
Bets were made. I wish I would have tested it on my finger first .
Got that beer though
New building and new store in Vermont about 30 minutes from me opening soon. No more $21 round trip to cross the lake to Plattsburgh.

Must…Resist…Asking…The…Obvious…Question…Must…Find…The…Strength...Grrrrrrrr
I want someone with better video production skills to make an infomercial touting the wide variety of hammers for sale at HF, with demonstrations of driving all manner of fasteners with all manner of "hammers". From driving wire brads with flashlights to sixteen penny nails with ball joint presses to railroad spikes with something huge and unwieldy...
"Come on down, whatever you want to hit, we've got the hammer for you!"
Harbor Freight , 1 mile from home ,
In and Out burger , 1 mile from home
When they opened I thought "great" , I will be there all the time.......
now after a couple years , maybe once a month if that......
I guess the next one to hope for is Tractor Supply , now 40 miles away

My first store was less than five minutes away. I'm spoiled, what can I say. I go there when I need something, its never a special trip. now I have two, and the second one is the same distance from work as the first one. 10 minutes in either direction. I'm Harbor Freight rich, deal with it.
In reply to RX Reven' :
It was a 12 pack of yuengling, not available anywhere near Ohio back then.
The crying got me a jar of moonshine.
Would not purchase again. Especially the next day.
That was your question, right?

The free flashlights aren't worth the cost. Buy yourself one or two good ones (I'm a fan of the Home Depot Reliant brand) and you'll stop cursing because the freebies don't work
Pretty much the opposite of my experience. I really like the blue ovals, don't mind the little black ones. I've worn a few out, and broken some, lost a bunch. When they get dim, use free batteries from the other coupons, of course. Now, I wouldn't make a trip for one. But if I need something else, I'm leaving with a freebie.
The worst thing about the little black cylindrical lights is that the ID of the lens area can be precisely filled with a quarter from one's pocket. Total blackout, not easily removed without a thin blade.

I brought one of those on a bachelor party trip once....that ended predictably.
A new HF will open in a month or so about two miles from me. Might have to try the electric flyswatter now that we have those newfangled mosquitoes.
Years ago we would always stop at the main office in Camarillo as the store there seemed to have things my local HF did not have ,
And they had great deals on closeouts ,
I just wish the owners cared a little bit more about quality because it's up to them to tell the Chinese what to make !

They are creating a number of higher quality lines (e.g. cordless drills) that compare favorably to the name brands, so they are going in that direction for some of their products.
