Useless trivia:
GMs Moraine truck plant (in Dayton, OH), where S-10 Blazers were made, was the only non-UAW plant at the time it closed. It was IUE-CWA, because it was a Frigidaire plant from 1951-1979. GM didn't like negotiating two Union contacts, so that's one reason why the plant closed.

Our 1994 S10 Blazer was built here and there was a cool sticker on the door jamb showing Ohio and Moraine. When I covered sales I would drive by that plant all the time.
Update, my fiancee forced herself to try the oven out a few weeks ago and now that she has actually used it, she likes it!

Having multiple ovens is really nice--I wouldn't build a house that way (well, I'd do a stacked double oven, but not two separate units entirely) but I wouldn't take one out if I had it.
My old college roommate has that exact same oven in his house, it still works fine.

Awesome. 15 years in this place and the lady hasn't fired up our 50's oven once yet. It works fine... She uses a little electric deal instead.
Infinite heat sounds pretty hot to me and your stove top has four infinities worth of heat.....must be tough when the electric bill comes in if you fire up all four infinity burners at once. Makes me think of the scene from Christmas Vacation when they needed Auxiliary Nuclear to compensate for the house lights.
How does the pullout stove top lock in place so it cannot be slid back in with a pot of infinite boiling water on one of the burners?
Now you have me wondering if I can track something like that down for my own house. I could use a bit more kitchen space...

There is a latch button in the middle of the pull handle if that makes any sense.

There is a latch button in the middle of the pull handle if that makes any sense.
It can latch at half way, or the whole way out. And Also latches when it is all the way in. Basically you have to press the button/latch before moving if from any position.

You would have to spend serious ducats to get a range built better than this one. We have an unrestored '50s O'Keefe my wife bought for $300. It cannot be destroyed short of a howitzer round. There are like three wearing parts in it; a couple of oven safety valves and the thermostat. Replace and go another 70 years. Keep this bad boy until it looks bad. Then have it restored (or grassroot it) and keep it some more.
