How about a list of movies that happen to take place over the holidays, but have nothing to do with them?
Die Hard, Gremlins, and my favorite, Donovan's Reef, a late career John Wayne/Lee Marvin postwar comedy in French Polynesia.
What else?

Any war movie that takes place during the Battle of the Bulge. It was Christmas time, but there was no good will toward men.
I would also argue that "Gremlins" is a Christmas movie, and a damn fine one. After all, Phoebe Cates (...and here I'll continue for the two message boarders who continued reading after I typed that name, rather than just sitting there staring into space with a goofy expression on your face AND FORGET IT, SHE'S GROWN NOW AND MARRIED FOREVER TO KEVIN KLINE...) what was I talking about? All I remember is Kevin Kline.
Oh. Yes. “Gremlins.” The dad got stuck in the chimney as he was doing something Santa Claus-y. And died.
Damn fine Christmas movie.

I always assumed Uncle Buck was at least near the holidays. At least thats when they start showing it on TV.
I love gremlins, but my wife won't watch it with me because she says it scared her too much as a child lol. I know what I'm watching on Christmas eve. Well besides a Christmas story.

I'm actually watching this right now. Jamie Lee Curtis was rather well endowed.

I want to say that scene is right at 64 minutes in...from what I've heard.
Just caught 3 Days of the Condor on cable. Forgot it takes place around Christmas, but not a Christmas movie.
Watched "Midnight in the Garden of Evil" last night. Not Christmasy, but took place during the season.
Good story, different ending, and Clint Eastwood's daughter always adds something.
