Not sure exactly. I flew to MN Tuesday and then back to NC on Wed. Symptoms first appeared while on a layover in Charlotte. I hope I didn't pass it along to too many people, but I'm sure I did. I spread germs in 3 different restrooms from one end or thr other or both.
1 to 2 day incubation period, during which you are probably infectious. Stay hydrated. Gatorade is your friend.

Norwalk is one town South of my home, maybe 10 minutes away.
I've been quaranteened in the guestroom since Wed. Trying all we can do to not infect special needs son. Internet (CDC) tells me that I can still be contagious for 2-3 days after symptoms end.
I drank as much as I could the first night but probably needed an iv since whatever I put in, twice as much seemed to come out.
well, it does make a great diet. A great way to lose those extra holiday pounds!

Although, Norwalk, OH was directly named after Norwalk, CT as are its neighboring Ohio towns of Greenwich, New Haven, New London and Fairfield.
I had that E36 M3, started xmas day, sickest I've ever been. Still weakened a month later, lost 14lbs.
Yuck. My wife had this when she was pregnant with our first son. That was scary E36 M3.
Her case was traced to a restaurant worker that didn't wash their hands between using the potty and preparing the sandwiches being delivered to the doctors office where she worked. A lot of people got sick.

All I can add is that never before in my life have I expelled the same vile substance out both ends of my body. Simultaneously. And with sufficient velocity to hit both ends of the bathtub without the slightest bit of ballistic drop. Then toss in the fever shakes.

Just fine. I was tired and weak for a few days after symptoms went away. The only good thing about this critter is it doesn't last very long once you get it.
I've had it once, that I know of. It was, indeed, horrible. The worst part was the cramping before each, uh, episode. I honestly thought I was going to pass out from pain. Then it would pass and "stuff" would exit.
I'm not quite ready to call it the sickest I've ever been but it's the closest to an emergency room visit I've ever been. The sickest I've been honor belongs to some food poisoning I got a Buffalo Wild Wings. The wings were cold and pink in the center, and I spent four days vomiting (and etc). I probably should have gone to the hospital for that one - it was probably salmonella.
My friend just went through something along those lines. Doc didn't think it was Norovirus, but she was describing the fresh hell she was going through, apparently rice and pedialite turn into something special when it comes back up. The doc did prescribe some sort of anti-nausea meds that she said did the trick.
I lost 15 lbs when I got it a few years ago. Not the most pleasant way to get rid of your beer belly.
