While some of you deal with 'winter' and your silly 'shoveling' some of us have real problems. Like knocking down the first growth succulent weeds so the grass might actually grow this year.
For today, I'd take a nice snow covered yard thankyouverymuch.
-20+ below this morning, currently -11. Even shoveling isn't going to happen unless absolutely necessary.
EDIT: Not that I can really complain. My wife's a forester and is out in the field today.
Oh? Would you now? I sincerely doubt that. It's going to be -10F in a few hours. The main 2 way road here has looked like this since early January. We can switch problems any time you are ready.

Hey, I've been to Houston. I'll take the snow.
Is that Rangie becoming one with the Earth again?
The Range Rover has been decomposition performance art for the last 15 years. It's been interesting to watch. Sadly Mrs. Deuce has declared the performance over and it will be headed off to scrap soon.
And the mower broke. Stupid mower.

Succulent weeds? Are you trying to grow grass in an arid environment?
Aren't succulents the juicy ones? They turn to green goo when I mow them. And no, this part of Texas is most certainly not arid. Kinda swampy.
You rang?
I've not seen any snow, nor is anything growing yet.
Woo constant rain?

You've reminded me how much I want a Range Rover Classic.
Also, berkeley winter. This was before the additional snowfall last night.
You need to convert the Range Rover into a lawnmower. Call it the Lawn Rover.

I was working in a tee shirt today.
Haven't seen snow in 25 years.
I was also working in a tee shirt. And boxers. But then, I never left my house.
Yes, I had a t-shirt on as well.
And an A shirt, and a thermal long sleeve, and a long sleeve t, and a hoody, and a carhartt....

Tomorrow's high temp: +1F. Wind-chills (for those that don't know, that's the temp you feel when outside) will be -40F
I'll take that over cutting grass though.
The only thing you left out of this post was a reference to global warming, politics or religion and this might have been the most magnificent piece of trolling this board has ever seen.
i can't see my mower, it's buried in snow.

as much as I dislike cutting grass, I think I'd still rather have his problem
maybe you should come visit tomorrow night and experience -20 for yourself, that'll make you appreciate having to mow your lawn in february.
Arid is more towards my part of Texas. Dang it I'm going to have to mow again this week.
I've experienced -75 wind chills before...and then I got smart and moved south.
You know they make lawnmowers you won't have to push now, right? Including narrow ones for small yards.

Yeah, central Ohio schools are closed tomorrow due to the cold. We have to go to Twinsburg for a bball tournament on Saturday as well.

As a former Land Rover tech and Classic owner I can tell you that it would look much like your Fiat except it wouldn't move in summer either. Or possibly ever.
And the monthly payments would be about the same
It's hovering around 0* F right now with a wind chill of about -30. Apparently Mother Nature has a sense of humor about me gently teasing our northeastern bretherin about the cold and snow.
Happily I have my Passat back so I'm happy (ish).
