I wonder if its that guy in Australia or New Zealand. I used to track his progress, he was working on it for a solid 15 years at least and making decent forward progress in regards to weight, size, and lift.
Now I need to find his website again.
Whatever the story behind it, I want to know more! 3,000 ft is ballsy. LAX airspace is pretty dumb.
There was a vid going around about a year ago of someone from Dubai(or nearby) that did a pretty long & high flight off a dock. I was surprised by both the flight time & altitude.
Edit: this one. Watch his 2nd flight, he gets quite a bit of altitude.
Nope, this is for the kids, not those heading into senior citizenry.
Probably in 20 years we will all be flying a jet pack.
As for me, I would fly over a big city or over a wilderness.
But unfortunately I can only walk or drive, I don't even think about flying in real life.
